Turkey
8 Days | October 3 - October 10, 2025
(10 Days with add on)
This journey through Turkey reveals a land of contrasts, where history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes intertwine. In Istanbul, we’ll capture the energy of a city bridging two continents, from its iconic mosques to its bustling bazaars. Izmir offers a coastal respite, with ancient ruins like Ephesus and vibrant street life along the Aegean shores. Finally, Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes, with its fairy chimneys and hot air balloons at sunrise, provide a dreamlike finale. Across these three regions, we’ll uncover Turkey’s timeless allure and endless photographic possibilities.
Overview
Izmir
Set along the Aegean coastline, Izmir blends ancient ruins with a youthful, modern energy. Over four days, we’ll uncover its layers of history and culture, from the ancient streets of Ephesus to the vibrant markets of Kemeralti. Photographic opportunities abound, from the glowing sunsets over the Aegean to the lively scenes along the palm-lined Kordon promenade. Our days will balance the serene beauty of coastal villages with the dynamic pulse of this port city, offering a rich tapestry of moments to capture.
Cappadoccia
Cappadocia’s surreal landscapes offer a photographer’s dream, with its sweeping valleys, ancient rock formations, and fairy-tale chimneys. Over four days, we’ll explore this otherworldly region, from the quiet beauty of hidden cave churches to the vibrant spectacle of hot air balloons rising at dawn. Our journey will include the intricate details of carved stone dwellings in Göreme and the dramatic vistas of the Rose Valley. Each moment in Cappadocia reveals a blend of history, natural wonder, and light that transforms every scene into a masterpiece.
Istanbul
Straddling two continents, Istanbul is a city where ancient history and modern vibrancy coexist. Over four days, we’ll explore its dynamic contrasts, from the grandeur of the Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque to the bustling spice-scented alleys of the Grand Bazaar. Our photographic journey will wind through the cobblestone streets of Balat, with its colorful facades, and along the shimmering waters of the Bosphorus. Mornings will be spent capturing the interplay of light and shadow in centuries-old mosques, while afternoons immerse us in the lively rhythm of this timeless city.

Tirana
The capital, with a population of over half a million and growing more cosmopolitan with new restaurants, shops, and galleries joining the almost surrealist pastiche of testaments to the city’s past. Here, eras collide. We’ll visit Skanderbeg Square, recently renovated with new fountains and rosy granite paving, and home to an 18th-century mosque and minaret, a domed Albanian Orthodox church, a set of government buildings that echo the fascist architecture of Mussolini’s Italy and a Brutalist monolith that houses the National Historical Museum. We'll see the newly opened Secret Surveillance Museum and Bunk’Art, Dictator Hoxha’s five-story underground nuclear bunker.
We’ll spend the first two nights at the centrally located Rogner, an extremely comfortable hotel with a pool and spa.
