About Japan

"Even in Kyoto, Hearing the Cukoos cry, I long for Kyoto” -Edo period Zen Buddhist haiku

We strive for our workshops to be transformative creative and cultural experiences. Participants will spend time exploring and shooting in urban and rural settings throughout Japan.

Dan and I will guide you in shooting a variety of subjects and locations through assignments focusing on intent, technique and composition. Wide Angle’s philosophy is simple: deep creative and cultural experiences in historically significant and unique countries.
